Tin Snips: Class-1 Lever

Double levers can be tricky to analyze. On a pair of tin snips it is easy to find the fulcrum (pivot) and effort (force pushing the two handles together). Load is the tough one. In this example the load is the metal pushing back against the blades—the resistance that must be overcome.
